Recognises a Micro or Small Enterprise (per the MSME Act, 2012) demonstrating year-on-year growth, sound bookkeeping and formalisation, and positive contribution to its local community or county economy.

Digital Transformation & Innovation Award

Recognises adoption of digital tools — mobile money, e-commerce, cloud systems or automation — producing a measurable gain in efficiency, reach or customer experience, and alignment with Kenya's digital economy.

Woman Entrepreneur of the Year

Recognises a business at least 51% owned or founded by a woman, with demonstrated growth, impact beyond the business — mentorship, job creation for women — and ability to navigate sector-specific and Kenyan market barriers.

Sustainability & Responsible Business Award

Recognises a documented CSR or sustainability programme with measurable outcomes, statutory compliance (Employment Act, NSSF, SHIF, PAYE), and responsible business conduct — governance, ethical sourcing, anti-corruption, NEMA compliance.

Chamber Award — County Chapters

Recognises a KNCCI county chapter for membership growth and retention, level of activity — events, advocacy, member engagement — and demonstrated impact on the county's business environment, scored on a per-member basis.

Startup Company Award

Recognises a business registered in Kenya for no more than 3 years, annual turnover below KES 5 million, at least 50 paying customers, and proof of funding secured or investment readiness.

Youth in Business Award

Recognises a business at least 51% owned or founded by individuals aged 18-35, with evidence of profit reinvestment, youth employed or formally engaged, and year-on-year revenue or active-user growth.

Exporter of the Year

Recognises the business that grew Kenyan exports most significantly this year, by volume and value. Selected by the KNCCI COO — no public vote.

Disability Inclusive Business

Recognises a business with strong practices hiring and supporting persons with disabilities. Selected by the National Council for Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD) — no public vote.
