Terms & Conditions

1. Acceptance

By submitting a nomination, casting a vote, or purchasing a ticket on this Platform, you agree to these Terms & Conditions on behalf of yourself and, where applicable, the business or individual you are nominating.

2. Nominations

• Nominations may be self-submitted or submitted on behalf of another business or individual, provided the nominator has a reasonable basis to believe the nominee meets the published eligibility criteria for the chosen category.
• All nominations are reviewed by the KNCCI awards secretariat and a category-specific technical panel against the published criteria before shortlisting. Submitting a nomination does not guarantee shortlisting.
• KNCCI reserves the right to reject or remove any nomination that is incomplete, ineligible, fraudulent, or submitted in bad faith.
• For the 3 Special Selections & Recognitions categories, nominations are considered by the KNCCI COO, the National Council for Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD), or an in-house KNCCI panel respectively — these are not decided by public vote.

3. Voting

• Public voting applies to the 8 open award categories and does not apply to the 3 Special Selections & Recognitions.
• Votes are purchased through a vote bundle and paid for via the Platform's supported payment methods (M-Pesa/card). Vote purchases are final and non-refundable except where required by law.
• Any attempt to manipulate voting results — including automated ("bot") voting, vote-buying, or coordinated fraudulent activity — may result in disqualification of the affected nominee and/or votes at KNCCI's discretion.
• Final results combine public voting with technical panel evaluation, verification, and ratification by the awards committee — public vote counts alone do not determine winners.

4. Tickets

Tickets purchased for the ACIS Gala Awards dinner/exhibition are subject to availability and the pricing shown at the time of purchase. Ticket purchases are final and non-refundable except where required by law or where an event is cancelled by KNCCI.

5. Registration

Summit registration is separate from ticket purchase and subject to its own confirmation process handled by the organiser.

6. Payments

Payments are processed by our third-party payment partner (Paystack, including M-Pesa). KNCCI is not responsible for delays or failures caused by the payment provider, mobile network operator, or your bank.

7. Verification & appeals

Shortlisted finalists' claims are verified against supporting documentation (e.g. tax compliance status, business registration, audited accounts where relevant) before final results are announced. Finalists may contest results through a defined appeals window after the gala, as set out in KNCCI's judging process.

8. Limitation of liability

The Platform is provided "as is." KNCCI is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the Platform, to the extent permitted by Kenyan law.

9. Changes

KNCCI may update these Terms & Conditions at any time; continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
